Standing, in a field of flowers, the sun, is setting
Mild breeze flowing through the grass and my hair, a sudden presence
A shapeless, invisible shadow covering me
Am I leaving, or am I left behind?
A hill far away eats the last bit of sunlight
Darkness, as far as the eye can see, only embers left on the sky
The night never ends, but yet, I still stand
Confused, why did the light have to leave?
There is nothing worthy of staying here, but I fear what I might see
I can't decide if i want to die, ambivalence between the realms

I breath in and look over the edge
The breeze carries a scent of the sea
Waves are crashing into the cliffside
They're speaking to me

Hopeless, I feel paralyzed where I stand
I want so terribly to rid myself of these terrible visions of myself from the reflections of this lake

Why was I cursed like this
This shape isn't mine
Touch to my flesh is nothing but numbing
Maybe in the other realm, I will see myself


The sun left a long time ago, never to be seen again
